Tafheem-ul-Quran (En) · 66. At-Tahrim · Ayah 10
ضَرَبَ اللّٰهُ مَثَلًا لِّلَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوا امْرَاَتَ نُوْحٍ وَّ امْرَاَتَ لُوْطٍ١ؕ كَانَتَا تَحْتَ عَبْدَیْنِ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا صَالِحَیْنِ فَخَانَتٰهُمَا فَلَمْ یُغْنِیَا عَنْهُمَا مِنَ اللّٰهِ شَیْئًا وَّ قِیْلَ ادْخُلَا النَّارَ مَعَ الدّٰخِلِیْنَ﴿10﴾
- ضَرَبَ اللّٰهُبیان کی اللہ نے
- مَثَلًاایک مثال
- لِّلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُواان لوگوں کے لیے جنہوں نے کفر کیا
- امْرَاَتَبیوی کی
- نُوْحٍنوح کی
- وَّامْرَاَتَ لُوْطٍاور لوط کی بیوی کی
- كَانَتَاوہ دونوں تھیں
- تَحْتَ عَبْدَيْنِماتحت دو بندوں کے
- مِنْسے
- عِبَادِنَاہمارے بندوں میں (سے)
- صَالِحَيْنِدونوں نیک تھے
- فَخَانَتٰهُمَاتو ان دونوں نے خیانت کی ان سے
- فَلَمْ يُغْنِيَاتو نہ وہ دونوں کام آسکے
- عَنْهُمَاان دونوں کو
- مِنَ اللّٰهِاللہ سے
- شَيْئًاکچھ بھی
- وَّقِيْلَ ادْخُلَااور کہہ دیا گیا دونوں داخل ہوجاؤ
- النَّارَآگ میں
- مَعَ الدّٰخِلِيْنَداخل ہونے والوں کے ساتھ
Translation · Tafheem-ul-Quran (En)
Allah cites for the disbelievers the example of the wives of Noah and Lot. They were married to two of Our righteous servants, but they betrayed their husbands, 24 and they could not avail theta anything against Allah. To both it was said, "Enter the Fire along with those who enter,"

24 This betrayal" was not in the sense that they had committed an indecency but in the sense that they did not follow the Prophets Noah and Lot on the way of faith but sided with their enemies against them. Ibn 'Abbas say: °No Prophet's wife has ever been wicked and immoral The betrayal of these two women in fact was in the matter of faith and religion: they did not acknowledge the religion of the Prophets Noah and Lot. The Prophet Noah's wife used to convey news about the believers to the wicked of her people, and the Prophet Lot's wife used to inform the immoral people about those who visited him in his house.
