حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ خَبَّابِ بْنِ الْأَرَتِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَاجَرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبْتَغِي وَجْهَ اللَّهِ،‏‏‏‏ فَوَجَبَ أَجْرُنَا عَلَى اللَّهِ وَمِنَّا مَنْ مَضَى أَوْ ذَهَبَ لَمْ يَأْكُلْ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ شَيْئًا،‏‏‏‏ كَانَ مِنْهُمْ مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ لَمْ يَتْرُكْ إِلَّا نَمِرَةً كُنَّا إِذَا غَطَّيْنَا بِهَا رَأْسَهُ خَرَجَتْ رِجْلَاهُ،‏‏‏‏ وَإِذَا غُطِّيَ بِهَا رِجْلَاهُ خَرَجَ رَأْسُهُ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ لَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ غَطُّوا بِهَا رَأْسَهُ وَاجْعَلُوا عَلَى رِجْلِهِ الْإِذْخِرَ،‏‏‏‏ أَوْ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَلْقُوا عَلَى رِجْلِهِ مِنَ الْإِذْخِرِ،‏‏‏‏ وَمِنَّا مَنْ قَدْ أَيْنَعَتْ لَهُ ثَمَرَتُهُ فَهُوَ يَهْدِبُهَا.
باب: غزوہ احد کا بیان۔
ہم سے احمد بن یونس نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے زہیر بن معاویہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے اعمش نے بیان کیا، ان سے شقیق بن سلمہ نے اور ان سے خباب بن الارت ؓ نے بیان کیا کہ ہم نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ساتھ ہجرت کی تھی۔ ہمارا مقصد صرف اللہ کی رضا تھی۔ اس کا ثواب اللہ کے ذمے تھا۔ پھر ہم میں سے بعض لوگ تو وہ تھے جو گزر گئے اور کوئی اجر انہوں نے اس دنیا میں نہیں دیکھا، انہیں میں سے مصعب بن عمیر ؓ بھی تھے۔ احد کی لڑائی میں انہوں نے شہادت پائی تھی۔ ایک دھاری دار چادر کے سوا اور کوئی چیز ان کے پاس نہیں تھی (اور وہی ان کا کفن بنی) جب ہم اس سے ان کا سر چھپاتے تو پاؤں کھل جاتے اور پاؤں چھپاتے تو سر کھل جاتا۔ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ سر چادر سے چھپا دو اور پاؤں پر اذخر گھاس ڈال دو۔ یا نبی کریم ﷺ نے یہ الفاظ فرمائے تھے کہ ألقوا على رجله من الإذخر بجائے اجعلوا على رجله الإذخر کے اور ہم بعض وہ تھے جنہیں ان کے اس عمل کا بدلہ (اسی دنیا میں) مل رہا ہے اور وہ اس سے فائدہ اٹھا رہے ہیں۔
Narrated Khabbab bin Al-Art: We migrated in the company of Allahs Apostle, seeking Allahs Pleasure. So our reward became due and sure with Allah. Some of us have been dead without enjoying anything of their rewards (here), and one of them was Musab bin Umar who was martyred on the day of the battle of Uhud, and did not leave anything except a Namira (i.e. a sheet in which he was shrouded). If we covered his head with it, his feet became naked, and if we covered his feet with it, his head became naked. So the Prophet ﷺ said to us, "Cover his head with it and put some Idhkhir (i.e. a kind of grass) over his feet or throw Idhkhir over his feet." But some amongst us have got the fruits of their labor ripened, and they are collecting them. Narrated Anas (RA): His uncle (Anas bin An-Nadr) was absent from the battle of Badr and he said, "I was absent from the first battle of the Prophet ﷺ (i.e. Badr battle), and if Allah should let me participate in (a battle) with the Prophet, Allah will see how strongly I will fight." So he encountered the day of Uhud battle. The Muslims fled and he said, "O Allah ! I appeal to You to excuse me for what these people (i.e. the Muslims) have done, and I am clear from what the pagans have done." Then he went forward with his sword and met Sad bin Muadh (fleeing), and asked him, "Where are you going, O Sad? I detect a smell of Paradise before Uhud." Then he proceeded on and was martyred. No-body was able to recognize him till his sister recognized him by a mole on his body or by the tips of his fingers. He had over 8O wounds caused by stabbing, striking or shooting with arrows.
