سنن ابو داؤد - روزوں کا بیان - حدیث نمبر 2428
حدیث نمبر: 2439
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَائِمًا الْعَشْرَ قَطُّ.
ذی الحجہ کے دس دنوں میں روزے نہ رکھنا
ام المؤمنین عائشہ ؓ کہتی ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو عشرہ ذی الحجہ ١ ؎ میں کبھی روزے رکھتے ہوئے نہیں دیکھا۔

وضاحت: ١ ؎: اس سے مراد ذی الحجہ کے ابتدائی نو دن ہیں یہ حدیث ان روایات میں سے ہے جن کی تاویل کی جاتی ہے کیونکہ ان نو دنوں میں روزہ رکھنا مکروہ نہیں بلکہ مستحب ہے، خاص کر یوم عرفہ (حاجیوں کے میدان عرفات میں وقوف کے دن ) کے روزے کی احادیث میں بڑی فضیلت آئی ہے، ہوسکتا ہے کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ کسی بیماری یا سفر کی وجہ سے کبھی روزہ نہ رکھا ہو نیز عائشہ ؓ کے نہ دیکھنے سے یہ لازم نہیں آتا کہ آپ روزہ نہ رکھتے رہے ہوں۔
Narrated Abdullah ibn al-Harith ; or Uncle of Mujibah al-Bahiliyyah (RA) : The father or Uncle of Mujibah al-Bahiliyyah visited the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He then went away and came to him (again) after one year when his condition and appearance had changed. He said: Messenger of Allah, do you not recognize me? He asked: Who are you? He replied: I am al-Bahili who came to you last year. He said: What has changed you? You were looking well, then you were good in appearance? He said: I have only food at night since I departed from you. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Why did you torment yourself? Fast during Ramadan (the month of patience) and fast for one day every month. He said: Increase it for me, for I have (more) strength. He said: Fast two days. He again said: Increase it for me. He said: Fast three days. He again said: Increase it for me. He said: Fast during the inviolable months and then stop; fast during the inviolable months and then stop; fast during the inviolable months and then stop. He indicated by his three fingers, and joined them and then opened them.
